The project will support people with learning disabilities in getting and keeping a job by helping them to learn, via games-based learning, more independent living skills that will help them in their working day.

GOET also wants to improve the way these subjects are taught by making them more interesting and enjoyable. To create an accessible approach to vocational skills training, we will be adapting and developing a range of games for computers and mobile telephones, over the project duration of two years, to make learning interactive and fun.

The project aims to improve work based learning and develop vocational skills like; preparation for working life, dealing with every day situations at work, money management and traveling independently. GOET will develop games for the mobile phone that will provide a personalised memory timeline, giving prompts throughout the day to remind the client of important things to do to prepare for leaving the house and throughout the working day.
